[Remote] Sr. Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services , SLG & Education - Northeast
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate their growing State and Local Government business. In this role, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership while working with a world-class sales and business development team to implement innovative cloud computing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Helping our customers to design and create cloud computing architectures
- Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to our customers
- Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
- Defining implementation architectures
- Responding to RFPs
- Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
- Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
Skills
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Ability to travel 30%
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures
- Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure
