[Remote] Transmission Line Engineering Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kintec Search is an established engineering firm seeking a Transmission Engineering Manager to lead and grow its Power Delivery team. The role involves technical leadership, team management, and project oversight in transmission line design, with a focus on driving project execution and supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of transmission line engineers and designers across multiple projects
- Oversee the technical execution and delivery of transmission line projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Serve as a technical leader and decision-maker on complex design challenges (69kV–500kV+)
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance development for junior and mid-level engineers
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, supporting project communication and relationship management
- Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and project deliverables
- Support project planning, resource allocation, and budgeting in coordination with leadership
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals and client engagement
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in transmission line engineering and design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong experience with PLS-CADD (required)
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineering teams
- Solid understanding of NESC, structural design, and transmission line standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with clients and internal stakeholders
