[Remote] Virtual Assistant to the Accountant (Bookkeeper) | Permanent Work from home; Morning Shift

GetMyCourse is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to the Accountant to provide administrative and bookkeeping support. This role involves assisting the Accountant with processing transactions, maintaining records, preparing reports, and completing compliance-related tasks across a diverse group of entities.

Responsibilities

  • Enter supplier bills, invoices, and receipts into the accounting system
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
  • Maintain supporting schedules and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Process and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Assist with maintaining fixed asset registers
  • Prepare draft Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for review by the Accountant
  • Reconcile GST, PAYG withholding, and superannuation accounts
  • Compile supporting documentation for tax and compliance lodgements
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management reports

Skills

  • Strong bookkeeping skills
  • Experience with Australian accounting requirements
  • Ability to work accurately across multiple entities
