[Remote] Volunteer Advisory Board Member (Legal Counsel Expertise for a Startup)

Better Leaders Training Foundation is a leadership-training company focused on developing high-performance supervisors and managers in the Supply Chain space. They are seeking a Volunteer Advisory Board Member with Legal Counsel expertise to provide strategic guidance and legal insights to support the company's growth and operational structure.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on business growth, operational structure, and long-term development.
- Offer legal insights related to contracts, partnerships, organizational policies, and compliance considerations.
- Advise on risk management, protection of intellectual property, and general best practices for a growing education company.
- Support partnership development and network-building where appropriate.
- Participate in quarterly virtual advisory meetings.
- Serve as a thought partner to the founder as BLTF prepares for full-time operation. Skills
- Experience in Corporate law, business law, contracts, IP, compliance, or general counsel functions
- Experience with early-stage or small-business legal considerations
- Experience with legal structuring for online education, digital products, or service-based businesses
- Ability to communicate clearly and objectively
- Comfortable advising at a high strategic level
- Commitment to quarterly meetings and occasional check-ins
