[Remote] VP/GM of Business Development – AEC / BIM / VDC

Wayfinder Solutions Pvt ltd. is a leading engineering services consultancy specializing in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. They are seeking a visionary VP/GM of Business Development to drive global growth, focusing on strategic market expansion, high-value client acquisition, and building long-term partnerships while leading a business development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market entry strategies for key growth regions
- Drive new client acquisition and expansion to achieve multi-million-dollar annual revenue targets
- Build and manage a high-performing business development team (minimum 10+ members)
- Standardize global sales pipeline and focus on high-value, long-term strategic contracts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior decision-makers (C-suite)
- Identify industry trends and translate technical capabilities into business value
- Mentor BD teams and foster a data-driven, high-performance culture
Skills
- University Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management
- 10+ years of proven Business Development / Sales experience in AEC, BIM, VDC, Engineering Design, Architecture, or Construction services
- Strong track record of closing large-scale, complex contracts and generating significant revenue
- Experience in offshore delivery-based service sales and client acquisition
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and scale high-performing BD teams (minimum 10+ members)
- Excellent communication and strategic negotiation skills
- Must have valid US work authorization (H-1B or equivalent for Indian nationals)
- Direct experience managing business in US and European markets
- Existing network of C-suite contacts in the infrastructure/engineering sector
- Understanding of current digital engineering, BIM, and VDC technology trends
- Cross-cultural experience and comfort with travel as required
