[Remote] Yardi Senior Property Accountant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lynx Systems Inc. is a technology consulting firm specializing in Yardi solutions for the real estate industry. They are seeking a Yardi Senior Property Accountant to support various real estate clients by delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining accounting records, while working closely with property managers and internal teams to enhance financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Complete month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
- Perform bank reconciliations, cash management activities, and account analysis
- Process property tax payments, tax adjustments, and annual CAM reconciliations
- Review and maintain lease information within Yardi
- Support construction accounting activities, including Yardi Job Cost
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, lender reporting, and audit requests
- Work closely with property managers, clients, and internal teams to support day-to-day accounting operations
- Respond to client inquiries and provide financial reporting and analysis as required
- Utilize Yardi and related tools to maintain accurate accounting records and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and overall service delivery
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of property accounting experience
- Minimum 3 years of Yardi experience
- Experience with Yardi Job Cost and construction accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- CPA designation, CPA candidate status, or equivalent accounting qualification
- Experience supporting commercial real estate portfolios
- Experience with Yardi Construction Manager
- Experience with Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
- Experience working within a consulting, managed services, or outsourced accounting environment
- Bilingual English and French
