Sales Associate – Supply Chain Consulting & Managed Services Position Overview About us: Supply Chain Resources Group (SCRG) helps OEMs and Brand Owning Enterprises identify, engage, and manage their key suppliers. We provide global vendor management services and highly skilled vendor management teams at the local level in all the world’s major design and manufacturing centers. SCRG is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow our global vendor management and supply chain services business. This is an entry-level sales role designed for someone who is hungry to learn, highly motivated to win new business, and excited to build a career in consultative B2B sales within the global manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem. Unlike traditional entry-level sales development roles, this position offers the opportunity to participate in both pipeline generation and closing activities. The successful candidate will support senior sales leadership while also bringing on smaller customer opportunities independently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup-type environments, enjoys relationship-building, and wants early exposure to enterprise sales, global manufacturing operations, and strategic customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Prospecting

  • Research and identify target companies across electronics and other manufacturing, OEM, supply chain, and industrial technology sectors.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and industry events.
  • Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for senior sales leadership.
  • Build and maintain prospect pipelines within CRM systems.

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Participate in discovery calls, customer meetings, and sales presentations.
  • Learn and communicate SCRG’s value proposition using a consultative sales approach.
  • Support proposal development, follow-up communication, and opportunity management.
  • Independently bring on and close smaller service opportunities as experience develops.
  • Develop relationships with supply chain, procurement, engineering, and operations professionals.

Team Collaboration & Market Awareness

  • Work closely with recruiting, account management, and operations teams to support customer opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity tracking and reporting.
  • Stay informed on trends related to electronics manufacturing, supplier management, offshore production, and global supply chain operations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve outreach strategies and sales effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interest in B2B sales, manufacturing, supply chain, or technology industries.
  • Working knowledge of the tech supply chain
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable engaging prospective customers through outbound outreach.
  • Highly motivated, coachable, and competitive.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, engineering, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Internship or exposure to manufacturing, electronics, staffing, engineering services, or supply chain industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot is beneficial.
  • Interest in international business and global operations preferred.
