Sci-fi Game Knowledge Specialist
Role: Part-Time Sci-fi Game Knowledge Specialist Pay: $20/hr Time commitment: 5 hrs/week Location: fully remote, no preference on time zone We’re looking for someone passionate and not a jerk about sci-fi games to help support and grow a small but dedicated community across forums, wikis, Discord, and other social channels. This is a very part-time role (starting at approximately 5 hours/week) that’s ideal for someone already engaged in sci-fi gaming communities. Scheduling is flexible and the role is fully and forever remote. 6-month contract to start with the potential to extend.
Responsibilities
- Respond to player support emails for Exothermic published titles
- Help build and maintain game wikis for Exothermic published titles
- Seed and participate in conversations in Discord, Reddit, and forums on sci-fi games
- Answer player questions and share helpful resources
- Contribute general knowledge across a variety of sci-fi titles (including titles we don’t publish)
- Bonus points: create short-form video content b-roll footage (TikTok, Shorts, Reels)
Requirements
- Strong interest in sci-fi games is a must
- Clear, friendly written communication
- Familiarity with Discord and Reddit
- Self-directed and reliable
- Empathy. It’s rarer than you think, promise
- Ability to commit to small daily check-ins throughout the work week
