Security / Compliance Lead Location Remote U.S.; occasional onsite support in New York City, NY as required Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen Pay Rate: $110.00 – $116.00 per hour Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time Project Assignment Position Overview The Security / Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring the security, privacy, and regulatory compliance of enterprise technology solutions. This role provides guidance on cybersecurity requirements, security architecture, risk management, data protection, and compliance with government security standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead project cybersecurity and compliance activities.
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments.
- Review application and infrastructure security controls.
- Support compliance with NIST and government security standards.
- Develop security documentation and compliance artifacts.
- Coordinate vulnerability management activities.
- Support security testing and remediation efforts.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews.
- Monitor security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support production readiness and authorization activities.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- Experience supporting government or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience conducting security assessments and reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification.
- Experience supporting public-sector modernization programs.
- Experience with cloud security and application security reviews.
