Role Description The Senior Content Writer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This role is responsible for planning, writing, and editing high-quality content for web pages, blogs, marketing materials, and client-facing documents. Day-to-day tasks include developing content strategies that support business and project goals, conducting research to ensure accuracy and relevance, and collaborating with subject matter experts, designers, and project managers. The Senior Content Writer will maintain consistent brand voice and messaging, optimize content for digital channels, and manage content calendars and workflows. This role also involves mentoring junior writers, providing editorial guidance, and contributing to continuous improvement of content processes and standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Web Content Writing and Writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and audience-focused content.
  • Experience in Content Strategy, including planning, organizing, and aligning content with business objectives and user needs.
  • Proficiency in Research to gather, verify, and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Advanced Proofreading and editing capabilities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in technology, consulting, government, or related industries is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, web analytics, and content management systems is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
