Social Media Manager (Remote) — Build & Grow Our Online Presence! - Contract to Hire
I own an appearance attorney company providing limited-scope court appearance services to attorneys and law firms across California. We handle in-person and virtual appearances in criminal, immigration, and general civil matters. Our social media presence is currently minimal, so I am looking for a creative Social Media Manager to build my company’s online presence from the ground up and position it as the go-to appearance attorney service in the legal industry. What You’ll Do:
- Draft detailed and accurate appearance reports following each court appearance
- Contact courthouses before and after hearings to request second call, gather updates, follow up on hearing outcomes, etc.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, appearance attorneys, courthouses, and law firms
- Handle client intake and gather case information
- Prepare hearing materials and coordinate appearance logistics
- Liaise with courts and track deadlines across multiple active matters
- Draft, review, and format legal documents (pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence)
- Manage case files, court filings, and document organization
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings
- Additional duties may be assigned (as needed)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in litigation support (paralegal, legal assistant, or attorney)
- Strong knowledge of California court procedures and legal document formatting
- Familiarity with criminal, immigration, or civil litigation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work 20-40 hrs/week during Pacific Time
- Experience with limited-scope or appearance-based legal work is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Hours: 20-30 hrs/week
