Akamai's Next Generation portal is used to deliver an exceptional end-user experience in interacting with Akamai solutions. Provide a platform that enables Akamai as well as third parties to rapidly deliver innovative products and features in a distributed development model. As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for: Qualifying new and existing features of massively distributed data systems. Collaborating with developers and SQA teams to test products efficiently. Creating and maintain robust test automation systems Scoping out test plans based on design requirements and code changes. Executing tests across environments, maintaining high automation pass percentage. Investigating and analyze root causes of technical issues or performance bottlenecks. Leveraging AI to enhance automation by utilizing AI-driven tools to develop, refine, and expedite Python-based UI and API automation scripts. Collaborating with Agentic AI Frameworks: Assisting the team in integrating workflows to oversee AI agents handling routine manual and automated tasks. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have 2 to 4 years of experience in Software Testing with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Have experience in both Manual and Automation Testing using Python, Java, and TestNG. Have expertise in API testing using Rest Assured, Requests Library, or Postman. Proficiency in UI automation testing using Selenium or Playwright. Have experience with Jenkins CI/CD and understanding of networking and system fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, OS concepts).
