Solutions Architect, Professional Services

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About the Role

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Professional Services, the Solutions Architect is Semarchy's senior technical leader on customer engagements—partnering closely with Sales from the very beginning of the customer journey to shape technical strategy, scoping, and initial adoption, while serving as an ongoing technical ally as our clients scale. As Semarchy positions to meet customer technical needs in a direct, tangible way, the Solutions Architect owns the technical relationship on our largest and most strategic accounts. This is a deeply hands-on architecture role, balancing high-level strategy with execution. You will define robust reference architectures and then actively bring them to life—designing data models, configuring match and merge logic, tuning integrations, and building custom workflows. You are equally comfortable presenting enterprise data strategy to a Chief Data Officer and diving into the weeds to refine a matching rule or troubleshoot a complex integration. What You'll Bring 7+ years of hands-on experience in Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Senior Solutions Engineering with enterprise data platforms. Deep enterprise MDM expertise: Core delivery experience with Semarchy (xDM, SDP, xDI) preferred. Strong backgrounds in Informatica (IDMC/MDM Hub/MDM SaaS), Reltio, Profisee, Stibo, Ataccama, or TIBCO EBX are highly valued. Full-Lifecycle Proven Track Record: Successful delivery of multiple full-lifecycle enterprise MDM implementations, including deep expertise in data modeling, match tuning, survivorship rules, and workflow configuration. Solid Technical Foundation: Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, Linux, REST/SOAP APIs, and cloud deployment topologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). Consultative & Commercial Fluency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable balancing technical rigor with professional services commercial awareness (margin, scoping boundaries, and delivery momentum). Strong understanding of data quality management — standardization, validation, and enrichment rules — within MDM. Nice to HavePrior experience at a Big 4 firm, systems integrator, or specialized data consultancy. Experience leading cloud or platform-to-platform MDM migrations. Cloud data platform certifications (Snowflake SnowPro, AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, Google Professional Data Engineer). Industry experience in financial services, healthcare and life sciences, retail, manufacturing, or public sector. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. What You'll OwnTechnical Advisory & Executive Engagement: Serve as the trusted technical partner for enterprise clients across their entire lifecycle. Articulate complex technical designs, trade-offs, and strategic data roadmaps to client architects, data leaders, and executive sponsors. Sales-Cycle Scoping & SOW Development: Partner with Sales at the earliest discovery stages to perform feasibility assessments, scope use cases, estimate effort/timelines, and author high-quality Statements of Work (SOWs). Recommend additional Semarchy product and service offerings aligned to the customer's technical trajectory. End-to-End Enterprise Architecture & Implementation: Lead the design, multi-domain data modeling, and hands-on deployment of enterprise MDM solutions. Own the architecture from configuration (match/merge logic, trust scores, API integrations, ETL/streaming pipelines) to deployment, data stewardship workflows, and production go-live. Modernization & Expert Services: Lead advanced platform diagnostics, health checks, and complex data migration strategies (legacy/on-prem to cloud/SaaS). Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical hurdles, collaborating directly with Product and Support teams. Provide technical direction to Solutions Engineers and Data Engineers during build and configuration phases. Practice Innovation: Contribute to Semarchy's reusable delivery assets, reference architectures, and pre-packaged service offerings. Actively leverage modern AI and generative AI tools to accelerate development workflows, optimize code, and streamline technical documentation. We are committed to making Semarchy an even better place to work, and this means creating a high performing environment where everyone can do their Best Work, where they can Grow in their career path, and Be Accountable – to each other and Semarchy. *For those applicants in the CA, CO and NYC area, the salary range for this role is $135-170K base plus variable incentive.
