Tax Compliance Officer (EA / CPA) | $75/hr Remote
Position: Tax Professional (EA / CPA) Type: Contract Compensation: $55 - $75/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze US federal and state tax statutes, focusing on statutory language including conditions, thresholds, AND/OR logic, and legal exceptions.
- Review and evaluate the English translation of complex tax laws for accuracy and clarity.
- Provide comprehensive, structured written feedback within a review UI to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality output.
- Apply logical reasoning to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and gaps in tax documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to clarify interpretations and resolve uncertainties.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of changes in US tax law and communicate critical updates to the team.
Requirements
- Be credentialed as an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Tax Attorney.
- Possess exceptional logical reasoning and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Have strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience delivering actionable feedback.
