Technical Program Manager II

Join our Cloud Technology Program Management team Our Technical Program Managers lead programs and initiatives across the Cloud division from concept to market. We align product, engineering, and business teams to exceed the expectations of our customers. Partner with the best Technical Program Managers are key contributors to Akamai's success. In this role, you will lead strategic programs and drive process improvements that enhance organizational performance. Working closely with software engineering leaders and their teams, you will plan, coordinate, execute, and deliver complex programs, products, and solutions from inception through completion. As a Technical Program Manager II , you will be responsible for: Leading cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, and Network Operations to successfully deliver strategic initiatives across the product portfolio. Analyzing risks and developing contingency plans. Partnering with engineering and product teams to prioritize work, manage program backlogs, and align execution with business priorities. Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders. Maintaining, prioritizing, and evolving the roadmap of committed work to ensure successful execution against annual objectives. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Possess extensive experience in project and technical program management Have experience partnering with software engineering teams Have experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet to plan, track, and report on program execution. Have experience identifying and managing cross-team dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans, milestones, and delivery timelines. Be able to identify execution risks, analyze trade-offs, and communicate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders and leadership. Have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
