- Windows clusters and other OS configuration expertise
- Proven troubleshooting/critical thinking skills
- VMware Infrastructure Knowledge
- VMware Clustering
- Hardware knowledge
- iDRAC/ILO Administration
- Scripting (Powershell, as example)
- Automations (Server remediation, as example
- Basic networking knowledge
- Hands on experience on ServiceNow and ITIL processes
- Experience in vCenter migration
Good to have :
- Backup & Storage Administration (VEEAM)
- Database Administration ( Oracle & SQL Server)
- NetApp administration
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Site IT and configure hardware management con-soles for storage, SAN switches and servers (iDRAC/iLO/IMM).
- Install and configure VMware ESXi hypervisor OS.
- Connect with vCenter and create cluster configuration.
- Configure vSwitches and datastores. server VMs and perform server hardening per established standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with Site IT and configure hardware management con-soles for storage, SAN switches and servers (iDRAC/iLO/IMM).
- Install and configure VMware ESXi hypervisor OS.
- Connect with vCenter and create cluster configuration.
- Configure vSwitches and datastores.
- Deploy server VMs and perform server hardening per established standards and procedures.
- Configure backups at VM, File or Microsoft SQL database layer.
- Assist with site cutover activities.
- Re-IP Compute devices as needed.
- Follow the migration documentation/playbook and established de-vice roll procedures.
Configure Dell ESXi servers and virtualization 14. . Help with troubleshooting 16. Onboard assets in CE CMDB (ex: ServiceNow) 17. Relevant meeting participation 18. Turnover the assets
