Accounting Manager Consultant
About the Opportunity: We are partnering with a global SaaS organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant for a 5+ month engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced environment, navigate evolving priorities, and provide support across key accounting functions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, experience within large public companies, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction. Duration: 5+ months Location: Remote (U.S.) Compensation: $70-$78/hr (W-2) Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience. Scope:
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities across various accounting functions
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with accounting related to equity compensation, stock-based compensation, and other compensation-related transactions
- Support accounting for goodwill, intangible assets, and other technical accounting areas as needed
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and ensure timely financial reporting
- Contribute to process improvements while maintaining accuracy in a dynamic environment
- Provide senior-level accounting support on special projects and other ad hoc initiatives
Qualifications & Expertise:
- Manager-level accounting experience within a large public company environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes
- Experience with equity compensation and stock-based compensation accounting preferred
- Familiarity with goodwill, intangible assets, and technical accounting concepts
- CPA preferred
- Big Four or national public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to quickly adapt, work independently, and succeed in environments with evolving priorities
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
