As a Junior Web Developer, you'll help build, maintain, and optimize websites and landing pages that support student recruitment, lead generation, and partner growth. Your Role As a Junior Web Developer, you'll support the development, maintenance, and optimization of websites and landing pages across a portfolio of education-focused partners. Working closely with Senior Web Developers, SEO, Creative, and Paid Media teams, you'll contribute to delivering fast, accessible, and conversion-focused web experiences while helping build reusable systems, templates, and workflows that improve consistency and efficiency across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of custom WordPress themes, plugins, Gutenberg blocks, and reusable templates. Build landing pages and website components that support SEO and Paid Media campaigns. Assist with website performance optimization, accessibility improvements, and Core Web Vitals initiatives. Perform QA testing, troubleshoot website issues, and support ongoing maintenance. Contribute to reusable front-end components, templates, and scalable development workflows. Collaborate with SEO, Creative, and Paid Media teams to deliver high-quality web experiences. Help evaluate AI-assisted development tools and automation opportunities to improve development efficiency. Follow development standards, documentation, and best practices while continuously growing your technical skills. You Bring 2–3 years of WordPress development experience. Experience building or customizing WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks. Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive front-end development. Familiarity with reusable components, design systems, and modern development workflows. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. A growth mindset with enthusiasm for learning from senior developers and contributing to scalable web systems. Bonus Points Experience with static site generators or modern frameworks such as Next.js, Astro, Gatsby, or Nuxt. Familiarity with website performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
