[Remote] Design Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Employbridge is a 75+ year old highly successful mechanical contractor focused on large facilities and mission-critical locations in the industrial and commercial space. The Design Engineer will develop HVAC and mechanical system designs, perform load calculations, and collaborate with various teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Develop HVAC and mechanical system designs for commercial and industrial projects
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment sizing
- Prepare mechanical layouts, ductwork and piping schematics, and coordinated Revit models
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with estimating teams during preconstruction phases
- Coordinate with project managers, field leadership, general contractors, and owners
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical HVAC design within commercial or industrial construction
- EIT certification, will help to obtain your PE
- Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical facilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
