[Remote] Writer and Editor
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology. They are seeking an entrepreneurial writer and editor to shape their communication in long form, collaborating with various teams to produce compelling content that engages and informs key audiences.
Responsibilities
- Owning the ElevenLabs blog – setting the editorial standard, writing new content, and editing draft posts from other teams
- Interviewing domain experts, mining data sets, and monitoring internal updates to unearth the best ideas and stories
- Making complex business and technical updates legible through clear writing and compelling visualizations
- Defining the house style and ensuring ElevenLabs maintains a consistent voice
- Writing keynotes and remarks for senior leadership that stick in the minds of audiences
- Managing a network of freelance writers and editors to scale output as needed
Skills
- A background in journalism, editorial, or long-form writing, ideally covering AI, tech, or audio
- Exceptional writing across different formats
- Strong editing skills and the ability to reshape others' work while preserving their intent
- Strong instincts for distribution and a good understanding of how to shape writing to ensure it reaches and resonates with target audiences
- A track record of owning and improving editorial output, not just contributing to it
- Genuine curiosity about AI and an interest in helping the world understand what we're building
