[Remote] Security Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. They are seeking a Security Data Engineer to build visibility across the organization by designing and implementing cutting-edge data pipelines that support internal security teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement log aggregation pipelines for Anduril infrastructure and applications
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a security data lake for centralized security data management
- Design and implement ETL processes for security data ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Collaborate with teams to establish best practices for data usage (e.g., search functionality)
Skills
- Familiarity with data lake architectures and best practices for security data management
- Experience with ETL tools and processes for large-scale data environments (Spark, DuckDB, etc)
- Strong programming skills in one or more general-purpose languages (Go, Rust, Java/Scala, etc)
- Familiarity with one or more infrastructure as code languages (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi) in a production capacity
- Ability to develop and maintain systems in cloud environments and familiarity with deploying code through CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex projects
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
- Experience building high-volume log ingestion and storage pipelines
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security ecosystems and tooling
- Experience with supporting multiple access patterns for data stored in various formats (using tools other than Splunk)
- Experience with open tables formats like Iceberg or Delta Lake
